Simple TRUTH you should know

1. Medical bill collectors can sue you for not paying your medical bills. Many collection agencies pretend that they are connected to law firms, in hope of using fear of being taken to court as a manipulation tool.

2. Hospital bills are turned over to a collection agency on a regular bases. But they are not simple presented to them for collection, they are sold to them for penny on the dollar. Once it is presented to the collection agency you no longer owe that medical bill . The hospital then take the lose between what the collection agency paid them for the bill and what you actually owed and files a lose on their yearly tax forms.

3. Each state has its own statue of limitation of all out standing bills. Here in the state of Texas it is three years. All bills older that three years can not be collected upon , unless you claim them as yours.

4. You can stop collection agencies for calling by simple sending them a stop calling notice, If they call after you have told them not to, they are braking the law and you can turn them over to the Federal Trade Commission
